| Simon Benney is a master of working with precious metals. He exploits and manipulates the materials he works with to realise his creative designs. By adding texture to his pieces he creates an illusion of depth and adds colour by means of enamelling to highlight this detail.
Simon was taught silversmithing by his father, Gerald Benney, at a young age and went on to the Gemological Institute of America to master his skills in jewellery. Benney has earned four Royal Warrants over the past fifty years as well as many prestigious commissions. Alan Evans and Robert Winter are two proficient craftsmen who have been with Benney since the early days and are based at the workshops in the countryside of Wiltshire.
Simon is now well established in the Benney showroom at Walton Street, London. He provides a personal service in which he tailors his designs to his clients’ characters and lifestyles. The showroom gives you the opportunity to come and see the latest collections of silver ware and jewellery and to discuss commissions.
All silver and jewellery made by us is independently tested for purity by the Assay and given a hallmark. |
