By 1993, Versace was seriously considering to develop a jewelry collection that would be as rich and luxurious as the clothes the house designed. After two years of preparation, the ATELIER collection was born. Made up of exclusive and even one-of-a-kind models, it proved to be sophisticated, opulent and sumptuous. With the "Tiara", the most prestigious creation of the collection, a jewel set with more than 1200 diamonds, Versace won the 1996 De Beers award. |
