From January 18 to January 22, 2013, guests of the hotel’s exclusive American Style package will toast the New Year and joyful occasion in the nation’s capital with the following: AMERICAN ACCOMMODATIONS
Park Hyatt Washington will reserve its signature Presidential Suite beginning Friday, January 18, with late check-out on Tuesday, January 22, and personal butler service throughout the stay. Located on the hotel’s penthouse level with views of M Street and stylish Georgetown in the distance, this 1,632-sq. ft. top-floor corner suite provides the ultimate in luxury accommodations. The suite features one king bedroom, living room with sitting area, baby grand piano, executive work desk with high-speed Internet, and multiple balconies. Enjoy an additional lounge area, dining table for six, wet bar, travertine carved stone tub with dedicated ‘bath butler’ to provide a soothing drawn bath, walk-in rain shower with tatami flooring, limestone double vanity, and custom-designed bath amenities.
During the four-night stay, guests of the American Style package will receive daily turndown amenities, including Blue Duck Tavern’s award-winning apple pie, a set of hardcover books highlighting American crafts, heritage and art, and a collection of photography from Park Hyatt hotels worldwide.
The guests will also enjoy chauffeur-driven roundtrip airport transfers and daily sedan transportation, based upon guests’ preferred travel times.
AMERICAN FASHION
Upon reserving the American Style package, Park Hyatt Washington’s Guest Relations Manager will contact the guests to give them the opportunity to work directly with the Fifth Avenue Club Stylist from Saks Fifth Avenue Tysons Galleria on their personal fashion preferences and needs for inaugural events; from colour preference and style identity to sizes and favourite designers. Using this information, the stylist, prior to the guests’ arrival, will visit the Presidential Suite and fill the closets with several options to meet the guests’ potential needs. The stylist will work one-on-one with these guests to ensure they will stand out when gala-hopping as the most dapper, fashion-forward, and sophisticated Inauguration attendees in Washington.
The stylist will foresee all of the guests potential fashion needs, filling the room with chic accessories for the cold and finishing touches for their ensembles. The Presidential Suite will also be dressed to the nines with a collection of captivating Saks Fifth Avenue home décor, such as vases, porcelain bowls, picture frames, and fragrant candles.
Everything selected to outfit the guest and the room will be available to use or bring home and will be for sale from Saks Fifth Avenue to be charged by time of check-out. Additionally, Saks Fifth Avenue Tysons Galleria can arrange for shipment of purchased items directly to the guests’ home.
AMERICAN WINE
A signed, magnum bottle of the hotel’s signature wine placed in the suite will welcome the esteemed guests to Washington. The special blend of Cabernet Franc was crafted by winemaker Jed Steele at his winery in Northern California exclusively for Park Hyatt Washington, in celebration of the partnership between the hotel and the winemaker. The Cabernet Franc grapes used to produce this wine are from the Floyd Silva vineyard in Lake County and offer a balance of flavours, structure, and tannins.
AMERICAN CHEESE
While in Washington, the guests and their friends (up to 12 people total) are invited to an exclusive tasting of cured meats, pinot noir and American cheese in the comfort of their suite. The private gathering, led by Park Hyatt Washington’s Cheese Specialist Lisa Hviding, will include a selection of charcuterie all paired with pinot noir wines. The combination is enhanced with a selection of American artisanal cheese varieties presented on a wood cheese board, and accompanied by home made pinot noir jelly and Vidalia onion jam, honey, dried fruits, and bread.
AMERICAN INGREDIENTS
Based upon availability, the private Chef’s Table at the celebrated Blue Duck Tavern will be reserved for the guests and their friends (up to 12 people total) for one evening during their visit. Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault and Chef de Cuisine John Melfi will prepare a five-course menu specially written using fresh ingredients from regional farms to create the President-elect’s favourite dishes. The dinner will be complemented by special vintages from American wineries.
AMERICAN BREAKFAST
Throughout their stay, the guests will receive a decadent American breakfast to be enjoyed in either the privacy of their suite or at Blue Duck Tavern, where Washington elite meet to see and be seen over an influential breakfast gathering.
AMERICAN TALENTS
As the nation’s centre for the performing arts, the John F. Kennedy Centre is a true emblem of Washington and the culture of America. On January 18, 2013, the guests will be chauffeured to the Kennedy Centre for a VIP backstage tour of this historic facility, followed by a live performance of the National Symphony Orchestra, while sitting in two of the Kennedy Centre Concert Hall’s prestigious box seats.
AMERICAN PAMPERING
Before departing for the Inaugural galas, the guests can enjoy personal pampering with an in-suite couples massage, followed by rejuvenating facial, and deluxe manicure and pedicure.
AMERICAN CRAFTSMANSHIP
After returning home, the guests will receive a historic piece of American art shipped to them – a classic, Windsor-style timber rocking chair, like those found in Park Hyatt Washington, handcrafted by talented Vermont cabinetmaker and chairwright, Timothy Clark. This lasting piece of furniture, engraved with the guests’ initials and an Inuagural seal, will remind them of their stay in Washington for years to come.
AMERICAN HEROES
In celebration of the Presidential Inauguration and the opportunity to help those who serve America, Park Hyatt Washington will contribute a minimum of $500 to the United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO). The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type activities to U.S. troops and their families around the world.
American Style is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind package that must be booked in its entirety, for a four-night stay, January 18, 2013 to January 22, 2013. Celebrating the 57th U.S. Presidential Inauguration, American Style can be reserved at a special offer rate of $57,000, inclusive of tax and gratuities, through January 1, 2013.
